Born out of a local grocery store in the late 1980s, kmatix was built on solid work ethics with the goal of "getting the job done."
The 'k' has been somewhat of a mystery, but the 'matix' part of the concatenation pays respect to the automobile industry's famous automatic transmission developed by the Sturtevant brothers of Boston, Massachusetts in 1904.
However, 1904 was an era before the time of kmatix and it is more suitable to pay homage to the products of the 80s generation.
The "matix" takes a step into those glory days where infomercials flooded late night television with an array of products subtly named "o-matic" as a promise to make human life easier and in the end... "get the job done."
